How much HARLEM is left in the bottle?

by Julie on August 5, 2010

We all love the sleek, black packaging of HARLEM® Kruiden Liqueur, but sometimes it can be tricky to see how much you’ve got left.  You can shake it to hear the liquid, or try to determine how heavy it is (the fuller it is – the heavier it is).  The last thing you want is to have people over, or waiting in line at the bar for shots of HARLEM, and you don’t have enough left in the bottle.

Recently, my friend discovered a great way to decipher how much liquid is inside the bottle.  If you’re like me, you keep it in the freezer.  So, after you take the bottle out of the freezer, let it sit for a few minutes to ‘defrost.’  Once settled, check out how much of the bottle remains frozen.  See picture below:

The part that remains frozen contains the liquid.  The defrosted portion is empty.  So, in the case of this photo, my bottle is ¾ full of HARLEM (sweet!).  As you can see, there is plenty left for a few shots with friends.  Proost!

What other ways have you found to determine how full the bottle is?  Tell us here or on our Facebook page.
